Drives and Automation offer a full repair service for a wide range of ac and dc drive products at our repair center in Telford... whether it's an AC motor drive or a DC motor drive, quick turn rounds are no problem.
An older model drive may be obsolete but that doesn't always mean if it fails it should automatically be scrapped. Changing your drive may require extensive work inside your panel, and that's an added complication you could probably do with out. Drives and Automation have extensive experience in Emerson / Nidec / CT products as well as many others. The benefits of a repair are clear, your drive undergoes a full diagnostic inspection, clean, repair and load test on a motor rig; and when you get it back it's a straightforward installation.
The benefits of a repair
Send your drive to us and when we receive it, it will be fully inspected and a quotation listing the faults found will be sent to you. We do charge an inspection fee, but this is deductible from the cost of the repair if you wish to proceed.
As soon as you authorise the repairs our technicians will carry out the required work and send your working drive back to you. If it is beyond economical repair we'll let you know and discuss replacement options with you.
Of course all drives are tested on a motor test rig to ensure they are in full working order before being dispatched. A repair with DnA will give you peace of mind that you will be able to quickly and simply reinstall your drive and start production straight away, with no rewiring or commissioning issues.
If you decide not to go ahead then all that is payable is the inspection fee and any carriage charges.

“We had a major fault with a motor drive on a one of our hammer mills, I called Drives and Automation who sourced a replacement unit. They came to site, fitted and commissioned it the next day. We were back in production that afternoon. For a 24/7 process like ours this level of service is invaluable.”Luke Wildsmith
