What we are looking for:

An Electronics Engineer with a few years of practical experience in industry.  If you have worked for an Integrator and gained experience across multiple industries, even better.

Location: North Midlands / South Yorkshire

Salary: Negotiable dependent upon experience

Hours of work: Full time, Permanent.  Typically Mon-Fri 8:30am until 5.00pm - some early starts/late finishes may be required depending upon project delivery.

Skills Required

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Electrical Engineering Degree qualified.
  • Good time and project management skills.
  • Fault finding skills.
  • A willingness to learn and be a team player.

What does the role involve:

Working alongside our varied client base you will be commissioning our bespoke systems, performing retrofits of existing control systems or carrying out diagnostics and repairs in the event of breakdowns.

On completion of site visits you will be completing site visit reports and updating drawings as required, so CAD experience would be helpful.

What are all the practical details?

  • Starting salary: £ depending on skills and experience
  • Company benefits: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (gradually increases to 25 days with length of service), employee ownership in the business after 12 months.
  • Location: Unit 11 The Stables, Staveley Hall , Chesterfield, Derbyshire S43 3TN
  • Start details: initially in the office but travel to customer sites is a key part of the role.
  • Transport and parking: free on site parking is available.
  • Start date: Varies

What will the first few weeks be like?

  • We'll need to train you on our internal IT systems, and get you on a safety awareness course if you haven't done one.  Without the Safety Passport we can't get you on site. 
  • We'll look at your current knowledge level of the products we commonly use and put a training plan in place.
  • You'll work alongside one of our engineers on a project and get an understanding of our purchasing and project management systems.  You'll be given tasks to help progress the project, this could be design, HMI programming or completing drawings.
  • We'll take you round the panel shop so you can get an appreciation of the work the technicians do.
  • For breakdowns and retrofits, initially you will work alongside one of our team.
